The Holroyd Foundation becomes a Founding Partner
We are delighted to welcome The Holroyd Foundation as the latest Founding Partner of The Cancer Awareness Trust and Bill Holroyd and his wife Julie, the philanthropists behind The Holroyd Foundation, as Founding Patrons.
Bill and Julie are best known for their work to provide safe, state-of-the-art facilities for young people through Onside Youth Zones. Set up in 2008, Onside Youth Zones has grown into a network of 14 exceptional facilities supporting over 50,000 young people every year.
Before becoming one of the UK’s most active philanthropists, Bill was an entrepreneur and investor involved with over 25 companies including the white goods retailer AO.com. Bill and Julie were introduced to The Cancer Awareness Trust by Trustee Nicola Brentnall MVO.
“I am honoured to welcome Bill and Julie Holroyd as Founding Patrons and their foundation as Partners of The Cancer Awareness Trust. Such prominent philanthropists joining our work to transform cancer outcomes for all is a big boost to our charity. I look forward to working with Bill and Julie and showing them just how impactful their donation has been.“ Prof. Sir Chris Evans, Founder.
“We are really pleased to become involved in this ground-breaking charity which applies common sense, business acumen and a great deal of heart to a major problem. The Cancer Awareness Trust is exactly the kind of organisation we like to support, making a real difference on a huge scale.” Bill and Julie Holroyd.
