Louise Bellamy joins as Head of Fundraising, thanks to support from The Axentis Michael Charitable Trust

Cancer Awareness Trust is excited to announce the appointment of Louise Bellamy as our Head of Fundraising. This pivotal role has been made possible through the generous support of The Axentis Michael Charitable Trust, whose commitment to philanthropy continues to make a profound impact on those living with life-restricting conditions, including children and young people.

This gift was made possible through the Trust’s Memorial Ball, where 60 guests made generous donations in memory of Kikis Pavlou, a member of the Axentis family who sadly passed away from cancer at the age of 56. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Axentis Michael Charitable Trust, the family and loved ones of Kikis, and all those who contributed to the success of the Ball.

Louise’s appointment represents a crucial step forward for Cancer Awareness Trust’s mission to deliver Cancer Platform - a game-changing, free to use website and app that gives everyone immediate access to expert information, knowledge and truth about cancer.

Louise brings a wealth of experience from both the non-profit and corporate sectors and has spearheaded fundraising initiatives across major gifts, corporate partnerships and events. Louise will work to expand our network and secure the funding needed to get Cancer Platform live through close collaborations with leading cancer charities, including those supporting children, young people and families affected by cancer.

On behalf of The Axentis Michael Charitable Trust, Kerry Michael said, “We are delighted to support Cancer Awareness Trust’s ambition in the launch of Cancer Platform, a truly global information programme that we are confident will benefit communities everywhere. We are pleased to play our small part in the memory of our very dear friend, Kiki Pavlou”

Director of Fundraising, Mike Zatyka said: ”Cancer Awareness Trust is proud to receive this generous gift from The Axentis Michael Charitable Trust in memory of Kikis Pavlou. With a passion for philanthropy and a drive for meaningful impact, Louise will accelerate the creation of Cancer Platform making it easier for everyone to access relevant and reliable information on cancer.”
