A new partnership brings SongBits, Evamore Project & the Cancer Platform together.
The Cancer Awareness Trust is delighted to announce SongBits as the latest Founding Partner, collaborating with the charity and The Evamore Project.
SongBits is a ‘music first’ company with over 50 years of heritage in music recording and publishing. In 1968, Norman Sheffield and his brother Barry changed the music industry with the World’s first 8-track recording studio, Trident Studios in Soho, London. Trident was where major artists such as The Beatles, Elton John, David Bowie, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Carly Simon, Lou Reed and many more created the work we know and love today.
Fast forward 50 years and today Russell & Justin, Norman’s sons are creating waves again. And they’re joined by Co-Founder Dave Stewart, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, award-winning singer, songwriter, musician, producer, innovator and Eurythmics co-founder.
With SongBits – they have created the first truly affordable music ownership marketplace and community for fans and collectors worldwide.
And now – another first! SongBits becomes our latest Founding Partner and will work with Sir Chris’ Evamore Project record label to give fans the opportunity to own the incredible songs which bring profile and funding to our charity. SongBits will work with our team to make a number of our special songs available to fans of the artists involved to ‘own a bit’ and raise funds for our development at the same time.
“SongBits is a truly exciting opportunity to work with the legend that is Dave Stewart of Eurythmics and his team, bringing together the Cancer Awareness Trust with the record label I founded, the Evamore Project. Not only will this help our songs and charity reach a bigger audience, but it’ll also bring in funds for the development of the Cancer Platform. Everyone wins!”. Professor Sir Chris Evans, Founder.
“SongBits is all about supporting the artists, whilst enabling fans to share the value of their songs. For the first time, creating a unique and true partnership together through harnessing the power of Web3.” Russell Sheffield, Co-founder.
