Sir Peter Rigby joins the Cancer Awareness Trust as a Founding Patron

One of the many new supporters in August 2022 includes one of the UK’s leading philanthropists and business leaders, Sir Peter Rigby and The Rigby Foundation.

Sir Peter joins as one of our newest Founding Patrons, supporting us with a gift which means more people living with cancer will be engaged in our design process, keeping our users at the heart of every stage of our development, design and testing work ahead of the platform launch.

The Cancer Awareness Trust has been fortunate to have benefited from several months of engagement and input from Sir Peter personally, not just as a Patron but as a critical friend to challenge our early stage thinking on our approach to the tech journey, our partnerships and focussing on what really matters. This support has helped to reframe our approach to getting the best out of our incredible tech partners and has significantly strengthen our roadmap.

Sir Peter and The Rigby Foundation have a long track record of backing ambitious innovations and projects supporting those living with cancer, including numerous large grants to support the development of innovation cancer care at hospitals across South Warwickshire.
