Nina Lopes becomes the Cancer Awareness Trust’s first Ambassador
We are delighted to announce the incredible, inspirational Nina Lopes as our first official Ambassador for The Cancer Platform.
Nina has been with us throughout out development journey and has helped to shape the design and delivery of the platform. Nina very much embodies the empowered, educated, informed user we want to support everyone affected by cancer to be via our platform when we launch in full in 2023.
Nina has shared every step of her cancer journey with tens of thousands of followers across her social media accounts, inspiring others to research what works for them and to support each other across the cancer community. Nina is currently undergoing a clinical trial.
We’ve supported Nina in a number of ways, with her cancer journey, with her trek across the Sahara and recently - she got to join the rock icons on our This Christmas Time song and is one of the singers on the new track.
You can follow Nina’s journey on her social media accounts (@Frodayss on Twitter, Instagram and WeAre8) and we’ll share her updates on our new Ambassador page throughout the year.
Our approach to Ambassadors is to work with people who have lived experience of cancer, who can help us to shape and refine our platform, but also to ensure we lift their profile so more people can follow and engage with their journey. We pay our Ambassadors for all engagement events and cover all expenses and they are free to challenge us publicly as much as they support us. We are movement and people like Nina bring deep value to our journey and we aim to do just as much and more for her.
