Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club supports The Cancer Awareness Trust

March 2023 was a bumper month for our fundraising efforts and thanks to Birmingham Moseley Rugby FC we ended with thousands of pounds being donated to an important new role in the team focussed on supporting children with cancer.

The event was made possible thanks to our Founding Patron Professor Paul Cadman. Paul arranged for the match against Leeds Tykes to be all about us! Over 400 people in the room raised funds and listened to our team and Patrons introduce our vital work.

Strategic Advisor Amy Hope-Smith represented the charity and captivated the room with her speech about the charity and why the hundreds of people in the room should get involved.

Thanks to everyone at the game, thousands have been raised, with donations still coming in, all of which will go towards funding a new role designed to develop the part of our platform which supports families to find treatments and support for their child affected by cancer. This is a new role established in partnership with our Founding Partner, Solving Kids’ Cancer. See more on that announcement on their website here. If you want to support the funding of this role, you still can. Click here and donate via the website or get in touch to discuss other options.

Special thanks to the sponsors and partners of the event including The Technology Supply Chain, PHTA, David & Co and the Innovation Awards 2023!
